HAPPY TIMES AT RESINS
“ Masaya kami nuon sa Resins. Napaka-informal ang workplace at napaka-generous ng management,” recalled Gina Camacho, former secretary of Ernesto E. Lichauco who visited Resins on June 24, 2009.
Gina said that she had memorable experiences during her stint at Resins, particularly providing secretarial services to Mang Esto as she fondly called her boss. “ He was such a nice person. He never raised his voice. He was easy to work with,’ she said. ”
Another memorable event was the series of night outs Gina experienced after office hours. She and other employees would gather for a clean fun at night clubs then, except for people from accounting and the plants. Magkakabarkada ang turingan ng maraming empleyado nuon sa Resins, “ she said.

Other happy times were the Christmas parties, the outings and the bonuses, which management was so generous to share, sometimes even twice or thrice a year. Gina said that management was generous and so employee-oriented that made many employees feel comfortable and loyal to the company.
“ Kapag tinatype ko iyong announcement, gigil na gigil ako, pero siyempre di ko muna ikinakalat ito until my boss said so,” Gina pointed out.
A graduate of San Carlos University in Cebu, Gina then joined Esso and later Philoil before moving to Resins in 1974. This Davao-born lady opted to live in the US in 1985 after her mother petitioned her to take residence in California. She now works as a paralegal in the law firm, Hinshaw & Culberston, based in Los Angeles.
Gina came home to Manila following her aunt’s death. Her last visit was in 2004.
