Resins and RI Chem’s New Home on the Net
Resins Inc. marked history on May 7, 2009 as it launched its new logo and website designed to reach out to its many stakeholders here and overseas.
Carolina R. Carlos called this approach to exploit new technology as part of an openness to disseminate more information about the company and its people, and promote its products and services aimed at growing the company.
MJC and FRC switched on the ceremonial button to signal the official launching of the Resins website. RI Chem supervisors and managers also participated in the simple launching ceremony at the RI Chem Training Center that included the introduction of the redesigned website for RI Chem.

It was on October 4, 1999 that RI Chem launched its first website on the site www.skyinet.net/richem/ Rafael Romuldez designed the initial website and Ronald Sobrevinas enhanced the web pages and made the navigation easier by creating hyperlinks. That website generated a lot of product inquiries, proof of how effective a website could be.
In May 2002, the richem.com.ph domain was registered and the website was transferred to our very own site www.richem.com.ph It has been our home since then. On May 7, 2009, RI Chem continued this service to our stakeholders and launched its new home on the net, www.ri-chem.com.
The new Resins website, www.resins-inc.com, has the basic features of a corporate website to include a corporate profile, its businesses and contact particulars. A highlight of the website Is a call to alumni here and overseas, to touch base with us, and share their stories, and their victories, big and small, during their stint at resins and in their present state of life.

The new Resins logo is composed of the Trajan’s font, which was designed in 1989 by Carol Twombly for Adobe. It is a very literal translation of the Trajan inscription, often regarded as one of the best models of the Imperial Roman alphabet left to us from antiquity. The design is based on the letterforms of capitalis monumentalis or Roman square capitals, as used for the inscription at the base of the Trajan’s Column in Rome from which the typeface takes its name. Since lower case forms were not in use in Roman times, Trajan is an all-capitals typeface.
The Trajan’s Column was erected by the Senate and the People of Rome as a memorial to the Emperor Marcus Ulpius Traianus who led wars that extended the Empire’s frontiers even further into “barbarian” territory than it had already been.
What does the new logo stand for? Similar to what its font represents, Resins logo projects an aura of unity, stability, strength and integrity. These are what Resins has relied on and valued to survive and grow for over 50 years. Resins partnership with its various stakeholders has reinforced its stability, strength and integrity, empowering the company to win victories, big and small, over adversaries.
The Corporate Communications Unit and the MISG Group together with Tri-Isys, an internet service provider, worked together as a team to complete the new website.
